Infinit Drones launches the Dock M400 in Canada, bringing remote, autonomous operations to the DJI Matrice 400
DOCK M400
Autonomous Operations. Matrice 400 Capability.
Infinit Drones has announced the Canadian launch of the Dock M400, an autonomous docking platform purpose-built for the DJI Matrice 400.
Developed with SB Innovation, the Dock M400 is designed for organizations that need repeatable, high-frequency aerial data without having to send a flight team to the site for every mission.
Bringing the Matrice 400 Into Remote Operations
Until now, organizations have had to make a choice: the heavier payload capability of the Matrice 400, deployed manually by a crew, or a smaller autonomous drone system with more limited payload flexibility.
The Dock M400 is designed to close that gap.
It allows teams to launch, recover, charge and redeploy the Matrice 400 remotely, helping organizations build more repeatable drone operations without having to travel to the site for every flight.
A Practical Example: Utility Inspections
Consider a utility operating across substations or transmission corridors.
When an alarm is triggered or a storm passes through, a Dock M400 can automatically launch the Matrice 400 with a thermal, zoom or LiDAR payload to assess the situation.
Operators can then use that aerial intelligence to determine what crews and equipment are actually needed, rather than sending a truck simply to find out what happened.
Built for High-Frequency Operations
The Dock M400 is available in two configurations: charging edition or battery-swap edition.
The platform supports the Matrice 400’s multi-payload configurations, including thermal, LiDAR, mapping, zoom, spotlight and speaker payloads.
For high-frequency operations, the battery-swap configuration can replace batteries in approximately two minutes. The system also supports dock-to-dock hopping and relay operations for linear or long-distance missions.
Why Now?
Demand for Drone as First Responder programs is accelerating, while utilities and industrial operators are looking for ways to increase inspection capabilities without continuously adding staff.
Canada’s expanded RPAS regulations are also creating new opportunities for organizations to scale remotely operated drone programs.
The Dock M400 arrives as organizations look for ways to combine heavy-payload capability with true autonomy, rather than having to choose between the two.
From Infinit Drones
“Organizations have been asking for the operational power of the Matrice 400 without having to deploy a flight team every time the aircraft is needed. Dock M400 closes that gap.”
– Pedram Nowroozi, CEO, Infinit Drones
The Dock M400 is now available to order through Infinit Drones, with delivery, installation and commissioning typically taking three to four weeks from order, depending on configuration, integration requirements and site conditions.
