Skycatch have accomplished this goal through our passion and dedication to our clients and creating many world’s first proprietary technologies to meet the needs of the industry today and in the future.
Drones are changing the world, and countless industries are embracing a better way to survey, from mapping to construction, mining, agriculture, oil and gas, and energy.
SkyCatch believe aerial intelligence should be accessible, accurate, and easy to use.
Skycharge (formerly Skysense Inc., a Delaware C corporation) was founded in 2014 by Andrea Puiatti. The company was originally funded by Qualcomm Ventures, Techstars, and angel investors. In 2020 the company was reorganized in Berlin-based Skycharge GmbH. In 2021, the company has completed a seed financing round led by Boundary Holding, an investment firm focusing on autonomous robotics and drone systems, AI, and other Deep Tech enables.
Our team blends a deep knowledge of the commercial drone industry with aerospace, electronic, and mechanical engineering. Skycharge is supported by a board of advisors, who bring together a wide range of skills and capabilities to accomplish our mission: to develop and build the autonomous charging system and infrastructure enabling scalable and economically viable deployments of autonomous drones and robots.
The founders met as grad students at MIT in 2009 where they helped pioneer autonomous drone technology. After MIT they helped start Google’s Project Wing. Skydio was founded in 2014 and in 2018 we launched R1 which was widely regarded as a breakthrough in autonomous drones for consumers and as a platform for commercial development.
Skydio products are the result of over a decade of R&D by world experts in drones, AI, and computer vision.
SkyDrop, (formerly Flirtey) is a full-stack solutions provider of hardware, software, and patents for autonomous last-mile drone delivery. SkyDrop is the pioneer of the commercial drone delivery industry, with a mission to make delivery instant for everyone, and a vision of drone delivery that is safer, speedier, quieter, cheaper, and greener. The company first made history in 2015 when it conducted the first-ever FAA-approved drone delivery in the US.

At skyfish, we've developed a deep drone platform technology stack and we design and manufacture our own onboard computer, remote controller, carbon composite airframes, battery charging system, ground station, flight planning and navigation software, and 3D modeling, mapping, and data analytics software. We support industry standard sensors, cameras, RTK kits, and radios. And we have unique data processing, mapping and 3D modeling capabilities. We're experts in the UAV industry and have the ingenuity and engineering talent to bring your commercial drone requirements to life.
By 2018, advancements in drones, air taxis, and other unmanned aircraft were underway. But the industry lacked a comprehensive system to safely integrate unmanned flights in shared airspace and execute autonomous operations at scale.
Boeing, an aviation pioneer, and SparkCognition, an AI innovator, joined forces to fill this gap with SkyGrid. Together, we’re enabling a smarter airspace management system to fill gaps unaccounted for in traditional UTM solutions.
