FLUX GmbH Launches IND-ROT-G Encoder for Harsh, Space-Constrained Environments

Braunau am Inn, Austria, September 24, 2026 – FLUX GmbH (FLUX), a high-precision encoder company, has today announced the launch of IND-ROT-G, a guarded, IP67-rated addition to its IND-ROT inductive rotary encoder series. The new series gives design engineers true absolute position feedback in a compact format, with the environmental protection needed to operate in dusty, wet and contaminated conditions.

The IND-ROT series has built its reputation on compact, lightweight absolute encoders with the robustness of FLUX’s inductive technology. The IND-ROT-G builds on that foundation with a guarded design rated to IP67. It gives engineers a compact encoder option for systems exposed to moisture, liquids and heavy contamination, without moving to a larger encoder format. 

Available in four sizes from Ø55 mm to Ø96 mm O.D., the IND-ROT-G delivers true absolute position feedback with up to 21-bit resolution. It is built to perform reliably under high shock, vibration and demanding temperatures. Stators weigh from just 22 g, so it adds protection without adding meaningful weight to the system.

That makes the IND-ROT-G well suited to applications where space and weight are limited but the operating environment is challenging, including UAVs, stabilized platforms and gimbals, robotic joints, medical robotics, and industrial automation equipment.
